Questions
How do I know if a text is a scam?
Warning signs include a link you didn't ask for, urgency or threats, a request for payment or a code, a small fee for a toll or package, and a sender you don't recognize. Paste the text into the checker to see which signs it contains.
Is this scam text checker free?
Yes. It's free, needs no signup, and the text you paste is checked in your browser. Only phone numbers, links and emails found in it are looked up in our database.
What should I do with a scam text?
Don't click or reply. Forward it to 7726 (SPAM), report it at reportfraud.ftc.gov, and report the number on scamers.org so others are warned.
